Tarot Reading 10th August 2020 – 16th August 2020

Aries (21 March –19 April)

There are things in your life that have been ending, and the tide is turning in your favour. You are advised to embark on a journey that will take you to great heights of spirituality and will make you knowledgeable and wise. And you are already on this journey. You are growing tremendously, and you are advised to be firm on your grounds but don’t be rude or harsh with anyone. If you don’t agree with someone, be gentle and nice and keep your points politely. Don’t speak in harsh tones. You yourself will feel the difference in people’s behaviour once you also change your behaviour. This change in your attitude will be worth it.

Taurus (20 April – 20 May)

You are sort of torturing yourself and being difficult. Other are trying to help you, but you are not cooperating with them. They want you to come out of your rigid behaviour, but you are not listening to them at all. You don’t want to change at all. You are so stubborn and adamant that you won’t change even if your elders are telling you to do so. In your mind, you should torture yourself, and you should live a harsh life, but there is another way to live as well and which is a lot more easier and meaningful than to torture yourself continuously.

Come out of your self-made cocoon and start to live a better life where there is no scope of torture. You don’t deserve torturing yourself, but you definitely deserve a better life, which is more relaxed. Loosen yourself and see how beautiful your life is!

Gemini (21 May – 20 June)

You are not married but in a relationship and you treat your partner very well, and for you, she/he is perfect for you. And the good news is that you have the Midas touch and you can upgrade this relationship into something meaningful and permanent even. Don’t shy away to take efforts to make this relationship permanent. There is scope, and this relationship is worth it and could evolve with time. Time is ripe, so take some actions to make it permanent.

Cancer (21 June – 22 July)

You are facing many problems these days, and you are being shown ways to come out of your problems as well. Everything is not lost, but you just have to deal with these problems wisely. Your wisdom will play a great deal to come out of your problems. Every problem has a solution, and you just have to use your wisdom to bring you out of your issues. It isn’t difficult; you just need to listen to your inner voice. Your ship will definitely find the desired shore.

Leo (23 July – 22 August)

You are fighting with others in the extreme. You have become bitter because of your past experiences, and you are punishing others of what someone else did to you. This is not the right thing. You must control your bitterness and look within how harsh you have become to others. Your extreme nature is not helping you at all, and you are losing your friendships in return. Check your rude behaviour and become someone gentle and kind to others. You may not realize this, but your words hurt others.

Virgo (23 August – 22 September)

You want to go away from things that are meaningless now to you, and you have ideas to go somewhere else. You want to implement your ideas and see how they work out. You are ready to work hard with your team, and you are confident about it. You are doing the right thing but make sure you don’t walk alone. Keep your team with you. Hard work always pays off, sometimes early and sometime later. But hard work always pays.

Libra (23 September – 22 October)

June 8th to June 14th Tarot Reading

You are sulking a lot because you won something recently, but you are still unhappy. You won something by hook or crook, but happiness is far away from you. Why is this so? This is because you became victorious by harming many other people. After all, you had become selfish. Because of your selfishness and greed, you are unhappy. You want more and more, and this is the cause of your unhappiness. Try to see the magic in life on a day-to-day basis. Reconnect with life. Become a better person who is devoid of selfishness or greed or anger or resentment. Try to become a better person.

Scorpio (23 October – 21 November)

June 8th to June 14th Tarot Reading

You are a passionate person, and you like to do things without thinking much and especially those things which you are passionate about and love to do them as well. You are advised to share your experiences with your friends and family as well because they care for you and want to know what you are going through. You had and is still having rough experiences; hence you must share them with your loved ones. They must know what you are going through.

Sagittarius (22 November – 21 December)

June 8th to June 14th Tarot Reading

You are too much confused and indecisive off late. This is because either you have lots of options or you have no option at all. You are not able to see clearly in a specific area of life. You are also not taking suggestions of others because you think you can deal with this situation all alone.

It’s okay not to take help, but you are now advised to go away from the people who surround you all the time and get clarity of thought. It is in isolation that you will be able to think clearly. Spend some time alone to get to know what you should do and what you shouldn’t. Take your time and spend some time alone if possible, every day until your problems are sorted out.

Capricorn (22 December – 19 January)

June 8th to June 14th Tarot Reading

Watch out for someone who isn’t showing you her/his true nature. They are not true to you, and they have a personal agenda and motive to be friends with you. The only respite you have is that these people are not close to you and you can anytime ignore them and forgive and forget the. Don’t keep grudges; just let them go. If you don’t give importance to them, they will go away from your life. Try this out and instead of looking at what went wrong with other people, spend time with the people who genuinely love you. A get together will be a great way to relax and will act as a stress buster!

Aquarius (20 January – 18 February)

June 8th to June 14th Tarot Reading

All the negative voices that you hear all day long and all night long as well are tormenting you to such a great extent that you are feeling overpowered with something huge. You are allowing your mind to overpower you and that too highly negatively this is the reason of your extreme stress.

You can do a few things here to come out of this situation. Meditation, diverting your mind to something else, trying something new or going on a walk or spending some time in nature will help you immensely in coming out of the depressing state of mind. Always remember that when you are stressed, everything looks heavy and negative but when you try to divert your mind to something positive and/or try a new experience, you can quickly come out of the depressing state you are in. Try these things, and you will yourself come to know of how effective these things are to come out of stress and depression.

Pisces (19 February – 20 March)

June 8th to June 14th Tarot Reading

Source: Ruhaniyath by Shefali

There is still time for your knight in shining armour to enter in your life. You are taking unnecessary stress to find one. You are getting very desperate as well, and you are always hopeful of relationships working out in your favour, but this never happens. You are advised to take a step back and not to focus on this issue because whenever that person has to come to you, you will have to be in good stead to accept that person as it is and to present her/him the best version of you. Give more importance to your personal growth rather than focusing on this issue only, and to that extent that it gives you nothing but stress.

Victoria’s Secret’s Fallen Angels: Is VS Collective Little Too Late?

Published

on

Victoria Secret's Fallen Angels II News Aur Chai

After years of selling misogynistic fantasies masked as insecurity for women worldwide, Victoria’s Secret (VS), the lingerie and personal care mammoth, has come upon a business-altering decision. Everyone’s aesthetic and sexual fantasy – the VS Angels have fallen.

After multiple accusations of sexual assault, overt body shaming, and transphobia, their refusal to take action against high-profile executives guilty of inappropriate behaviour has led to its downfall. 2018 was possibly the worst year for the company as more body positive and inclusive brands like Aerie, Lively, and Savage X Fenty rose.

The mystical barbie-doll VS Angels, extravagantly clad in wings and bejewelled lingerie, had more or less remained the same in the last three decades since VS started their fashion shows. Models bearing bodies that ‘please’ the male gaze, just-enough-plump and just-enough-toned, were no longer a thing of beauty standards to the common woman. After all, feminists remind us repeatedly that autonomy over lingerie remains with the person who wants to wear it rather than cishet men.

There was a time when lacy push-ups and the thick underwear band labelled PINK was found in the boudoir drawer of every female teenager and adult alike. No one would be caught dead wearing something else. But in a mere decade, the tables have turned as no one would dare step inside the walls of the magnum opus of male sexual fantasy. It’s safe to say that VS brought this tragedy upon itself with its sluggish attitude toward the changing social norms of body positivity and culture inclusivity.

But recently, VS announced a defining move – one which may have come a little too late but alas, it came. Gone were the glamorous, airbrushed, and pushed-up fantasies of the Angels. Instead came in the Victoria’s Secret Collective. This high-profile seven-member board is a chance for VS to redeem its reputation and right its past wrongs. The septet consists of the pink-haired member of the American National Women’s Soccer team, Megan Rapinoe, Actor, entrepreneur, and activist Priyanka Chopra Jonas, inclusivity activist and model Paloma Elsesser, transgender model-actor Valentina Sampaio, Sino-American world champion skier Eileen Gu, model and South Sudanese-Australian model Adut Akech, and English photographer and podcast host Amanda de Cadanet.

This board is a shot at inclusivity and is reflective of real-life women as the members hail from different cultures, are from different age groups, and in some way or another, are more relatable to the common woman. This diverse set of ambassadors will spearhead this new campaign. They will be alternatively seen as an essential part of VS’s revamped brand image, including their advertisements and social media. VS’s new move is indeed a step toward becoming more like their well-off competitors, who are idealistically anti-Victoria’s Secret.

What’s notable is that this decision of VS is not just superficial to woo their consumer base but is one aimed at its very corporate structure. Billionaire Leslie Wexner, the founder of VS’s parent company L Brands, and Ed Razek, a top executive of the said company, will not be a part of the revamped identity of the lingerie giant. Razek and Wexner have been accused multiple times of inappropriate conduct, sexual advances and remarks, and exploitation of models.

VS has made it clear that the two will not be associated with VS anymore. The company will split from L Brands and subsequently from the toiletry giant Bath & Body Works to become an independent entity. VS will now have top-tier decisions taken by more women executives as Martha Pease, the new Chief Marketing Officer, heads the Collective and plans on having an all-women committee.

A complete upheaval of the VS stores will see the signature Angels’ posters stripped off of their walls, TVs, websites, and social media. Mannequins and models will exhibit a diverse range of bodies and products.

In an interview with The New York Times, Martin Waters, a former executive of VS international, said, “When the world was changing, we were too slow to respond. We needed to stop being about what men want and to be about what women want.”

In a recent attempt to foreshadow the company’s announcement of becoming “what women want”, VS launched a Mothers’ Day campaign. Displaying pregnant women as their models was a first for the company. Apparently, for VS, motherhood was not sexy enough till now.

The VS collective board will promote the upcoming product releases such as maternity wear along with the same old thongs and lacy bras. Other TBA products will see a collaboration between Chopra Jonas and Rapinoe.

Skin Care Tips To Survive Summers In India

Published

on

Skin Care in Summer in India | News Aur Chai

The summer heat in India can be harsh on your skin if you don’t take proper care of it. The blistering heat, dust, and pollution take away the natural shine and, in some cases, invite infections. To avoid all of these annoyances and to keep your skin glowing as it did before, try these summer skincare tips:

Clothing

Tight clothing during hot weather will irritate the skin and make sweaty areas of the body itch even more. To combat the heat, cotton and lighter fabrics are vital. Try wearing breathable fabrics.

Diet

Applying creams is not enough; you need to enrich your skin properly to keep it glowing. Juicy fruits and vegetables should be consumed in large quantities as they are high in nutrients and antioxidants that protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays. Try consuming cooling or seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Exercise

Exercise increases blood flow that ensures that oxygen reaches the skin cells. Any tissue damage (skin burn, etc) is repaired by the body.

Exfoliation

It is a process that helps in the removal of dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. Exfoliate your skin regularly for healthy and glowing skin. You can simply use a washcloth to gently scrub your skin. Try this process at least once a week.

Eyes and Lips

Protect your eyes by wearing sunglasses while stepping out in the sun. Protect your lips by applying a lip balm.

Feet

It is important to take care of your feet as well. Give yourself a manicure; remove the dead and dry skin cells with a scrub and moisturize them later.

Minimal Makeup

Go easy on make-up during summers; avoid anything heavy it’s most likely to melt off the minute you step out in the sweltering summer heat. When it comes to makeup during the summers, keep it simple as the skin needs to breathe.

Sunscreen

Summertime necessitates the use of sunscreen. It is important to safeguard yourself from tanning and skin burns. It also helps in protecting our skin from harmful UV rays. You should apply sunscreen at least twice a day. It is a must-have item, if you don’t have one; you should invest in sunscreen.

Stay Hydrated

It is extremely important to stay hydrated; especially during hot weather. Sweat causes us to lose a lot of our body fluids. Our bodies are severely harmed when the levels of body fluids drop. Staying hydrated also helps to flush out toxins from the body and feel refreshed. Carry a bottle of water everywhere you go, set reminders to drink water throughout the day so that you don’t forget to hydrate yourself!

Update your skincare products

It is very important to update your skincare products during summertime. During winters we need stronger creams to fight the cold and dry weather, but in the summer, we need hydrating products. Buy a moisturizer that is lightweight and non-greasy.

 Use natural remedies

Skincare home remedies are useful as they make your skin glow naturally without causing any harm. Applying Aloe Vera gel, Cucumber mask, Coconut oil, Honey mask, Lemon mask, Orange Peel mask, Turmeric paste are few remedies that soothe your skin during summer.
