Haseena Parkar an Indian biographical crime film is hitting the screen today; therefore, the leading actors, as well as duo sibling Shraddha & Siddhanth Kapoor, left no bars to promote their upcoming movie. The team of Haseena Parkar was in Delhi to showcase the uniqueness of their upcoming flick. Shraddha, Siddhanth along with Director Apoorva Lakhia and Producer Nahid Khan visited Carnival Cinemas, at Connaught Place to interact with media peeps.
Well, Haseena Parkar is based on Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena. The film marks Shraddha Kapoor’s first female protagonist venture as she is portraying the title role. Her real brother, Siddhanth Kapoor portrays the role of Dawood Ibrahim, and Ankur Bhatia plays the role of Haseena’s husband.
Interacting with media, the entire team shared their own views and thoughts, therefore on asking Shraddha about her character and movie, she stated, “This is a first time, I am into such a different character, it is a drastic change for me. When I got the narration of the movie, it seemed really interesting to me. To play a title role of the movie is a big responsibility. This is also a very first time; I am acting as a mother too. So I used to watch YouTube videos to narrate character of a mother.”
About the movie, she said, “This is entirely a realistic movie; you will see everything about Haseena Parkar, her grey shade, her emotions and whatever she has been through.”While asking about the sibling experience, Siddhanth and Sharaddha shared their bubbly chemistry, Shraddha said, “Me and bhai gained weight for our role, I gained 6 to 7 kgs. It was really difficult to control yourself when you are a food lover.” Whereas, Siddhant said, “It was a great experience; yes I gained 10 kgs for my role. We had a smooth chemistry on set, even the entire team shared a good time working for this movie.”
Director Apporva Lakhia shared his own thoughts and stated, “This year was not good for Bollywood. So I can’t say what this movie will go through, but we wish this movie will do well.” Regarding the cast, he said, “Shraddha is USP of this movie. Siddhanth and I share a good bond. It was luckily decided to cast the sibling in Haseena and it went smoothly on the sets.”
