Prime Minister has urged people to adopt Yoga in their daily lifestyle. He himself joined defense, Punjab Armed Police, and ITBP personnel in Chandigarh dressed in a white T-shirt and trousers.
He also had a brief interaction with differently abled people. He gave a 25-minute address motivating people to incorporate yoga into their daily routine and thus assure a healthy life. The Union Government has announced two new awards at the national as well as international level.
We witnessed vast range of people performing Yoga on Tuesday, from soldiers at treacherous mountains of Siachin to the officers at Naval base. People performed calisthenics in different colors leotards and embraced Yoga in their lives.
Modi highlighted umpteen benefits of indoctrinating Yoga and urging practitioners to focus on diabetes. He has made it a point to focus on eradicating one disease every year. Yoga has a huge potential of creating new jobs and spurring economic growth.
Accepting an international Yoga day gives huge momentum to Indian image worldwide as well even though we have ongoing internal debates. It’s best to sideline all the criticism right now and look at this advantageous exercising regime with passion and adopt it to say no to all the health issues.
