Tit For Tat But Slowly

India and Pakistan have fought three wars since Independence in 1947. But, now Bollywood is being the new battlefield for heightened tensions between both the countries, sparked by a deadly attack last month on Indian Army base from Pakistani militants.

In a series of tit-for-tat moves in the Entertainments Industry, Pakistan has suspended screening all Indian movies until tension calm, while Hindu nationalists in India have threatened violence at the cinema showing films with Pakistani actors.

We have always shown our goodness and friendship. There are people from Pakistan who are great artists and hosts but when it comes to my nation, my army, my martyred jawans, How can I be diplomatic in any manner? My nation comes first, Pakistan artists come later. It’s kind of silly to compare the on-field Heroes to Screen Heroes. I sleep at night, I walk the street every day, I feel safe just because someone is already there to protect me always no matter what. These days people are trying to compare the pain of martyred jawans’ families to the banned artists. No, the Pakistan artists don’t have any connection to terrorism as it is clear that art cannot grow under the shelter of terrorism but certainly their country does. Pakistan is always sheltering terrorism.

Ban Pakistani artists ‘forever’ is whole another thing but today in these conditions, our country needs support from the warm home. Maybe one day when these conditions become inconsiderable then we, of course, will remove the ban from that. Till then, as a Proud Indian, I feel that we need to take some real actions towards each and every aspect which are concerned with Pakistan, and make them feel they need us or else India is a very talented country, there’s no need to clarify that.

Jai Hind.
