Movie on Katrina Kaif’s life struggle
It seems that Actor Katrina Kaif inspired a character in director Pan Nalin’s new film, which was the first runner-up at the Toronto International Film Festival 2015.
Parenthetically, in the film, Amrit Maghera plays the character of an actress who comes to India to try her luck in the industry but is unable to speak Hindi. Katrina, too, moved to India to make it big in the Bollywood industry back in the early 2000s. Her inability to speak Hindi fluently has made headlines on several incidents.
Affirming the story, Pan says, “Katrina is a hugely successful star in Bollywood, and when we were writing, one character resembled to be following her career graph.”
“Even though we haven’t manifest Kat’s entire journey, we surely were inspired by it. We had Amrit Maghera play the role of a girl, who, despite facing lingual and cultural hindrances, moved to India from London, to make a career in acting in Bollywood,” says Pan. The flick is not entirely based on Katrina, Pan Nalin added.
