Poetry is something that soothes out a person even in the hardest of time. Amid lockdown, the students who are fond of open mics and poetry are not getting enough space to participate in such events.
ABVP Unit of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College of Delhi University is organizing an online poetry competition MEHFIL-E-LOCKDOWN. The event aims to provide a platform for the Delhi University students who are fond of writing and listening. Any student who is studying in Delhi University can participate in the event by paying a nominal fee of INR 50.
Sachin Yuvi Chaudhary, a well-known writer/poet, is judging the event. Sachin is running an Instagram account @baatein_kuch_unkahin_si with over one lakh followers, which focuses on poetry. He has also written a book that was published last year.
Event organizers are Piyush Sharma (Cultural President of DUSU & Member of ABVP), Rishiraj Singh(Cultural president of DUSU & Unit Joint Sec.), and Sankalp Singh (Student Activist of Delhi University).
The last date for registering is 31st May 2020, and results will be announced on 1st June 2020 of the result.
