Director of the documentary “India’s Daughter” to protest during PMs visit to UK
Leslee Udwin, the director of the controversial documentary film “India’s Daughter” has decided to appeal publicly to mobilize a protest, demanding to life the ban from the film in India. She wants this to be done during the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s visit to London during his address to the Indian Diaspora on the 13th of November.
Leslee Udwin said she wants to bring together “hundreds, if not thousands” outside Wembley Stadium in London during this ceremony. On a social networking website, Leslee posted “We need to work toward the lifting of the ban on the film in India and we urgently need your help. This one is a really urgent one, and time is short to achieve it.”
