‘Chhapaak’ is directed by the Raazi director Meghna Gulzar. Deepika Padukone who is also the producer for the movie explained her intention for the production; she said, “I became a producer because I want to reach more people and create an impact through my films. Cinema is such a powerful tool. You want to use that sensibly. You want to use that wisely. I may not be able to do that every single time, but at least that is the intention.”

The story revolves around victims who are surviving and fighting for their livelihood– a normal life which we all deserve; however, just because born a woman, we are not getting that life. The woman has to face all kind of abuses, and when she stands against it, would become a victim of an acid attack, murder, burning and much more. Time has come to learn, to grow up and to teach something out of all these examples. Time has come for girls and women to say and apply #AbLadnaHai in their real-life to fight against all the odds.
