Another Modern Love Story: Luka Chuppi

Bollywood has always been obsessed with love stories, but with changing times, love stories too need to be changed. Because in today’s time, we don’t have those evil families who imprison their daughter in their own house, who is then escaped by the ‘Hero’.

Recent Bollywood movies show how Bollywood is changing their storyline according to the demand of the public. Let it be ‘Badhai Ho!’ or ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga’, new love stories are giving the audience new love goals and people are actually loving this new change.

Another such attempt can be seen in the trailer of the upcoming movie ‘Luka Chuppi’. The trailer shows how Rashmi (Kriti Sanon) rejects Guddu’s marriage proposal, who is a reporter in Mathura and offers a deal of live-in relationship. Not only this, both of their families find out about them and thinks that they got married and acts accordingly, the trailer calls this “Live-in Sa-Parivar”, which seems quite interesting.

The trailer also points out how society is still against the concept of live-in relationships and how the family’s confusion helps Guddu and Rashmi survive the situation. At the end of the trailer, they even try to marry each other.

Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan, being good actors, have gathered a lot of public love from their previous movies so, people have high expectations from this one too. What sets the expectation bar even higher is the director of the movie, Lakshman Utekar, who have given us movies like English Vinglish and Hindi Medium. We will also find actors like Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurana in funny supporting roles.

The movie is all set to flood the theatres on 1st March 2019 and we have to wait till then to see if it fulfils everyone’s expectations or not. Here is the trailer you should watch
