Alan Rickman’s palpable voice in Alice Through The Looking Glass trailer
Alan Rickman’s final movie role has been revealed weeks after his death as he stars in the first trailer for the movie Alice Through The Looking Glass.
Alan’s voice can be heard as Absolem the Caterpillar in his final film role.
The late actor – who died last month at the age of 69 following a battle with cancer – provided the voice of Absolem the Caterpillar in the movie before his death, although it won’t be released until May 2016.
Alan was known for his iconic tone, and it adds a very frightful quality to the first look at the sequel to the film Alice In Wonderland by Tim Burton which was released in the year 2010
Although Alan’s character isn’t seen in the trailer but he can be heard telling Alice that “You’ve been gone too long, Alice. There are matters which might benefit your attention. Friends cannot be neglected.”
With scenes of destruction, the trailer also shows flashes of Alice (Mia Wasikowska), the White Queen (Anne Hathaway), the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) and the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp).
Matt Lucas also returns as Tweedledee and Tweedledum, although Burton did not return to the director’s chair.
Instead, Flight of the Conchords co-creator James Bobin has stepped behind the camera to lead the way for the sequel.
Alice Through The Looking Glass will be released on 27th May 2016.
