AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday slammed the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s attempts at distancing the Hindutva ideology from the mob lynching incidents.
Mr Owaisi tweeted people who are involved in mob lynching “would not know the difference between cow and buffalo” but the names of victims (from a particular community) would be enough for them to kill someone.

Mr Owaisi further claimed that people who are involved in the hate-mongering against the Muslim community have the support of the “Hindutva government”.
Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh also reacted to Mr Bhagwat’s statement on religious harmony. Mr Singh said if Mr Bhagwat is true to his words, he must give directions that all those BJP leaders who “harassed” innocent Muslims be removed from their posts.

Mr Singh further said the RSS chief will not do so, alleging that there is a difference between his words and actions.
The RSS is the ideological mentor of the ruling BJP and has often been accused by its opponent of fostering majoritarianism.
On Sunday, Mr Bhagwat said that those indulging in mob lynching are against Hindutva, and asserted that the law should punish the criminals without any partiality.
