Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai Take 2: What’s not the same?

The most beloved comedy show of small screen Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai is back with a bang. Previously aired on star one, Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai Take 2 will now be showcased every Tuesday on Hotstar, with an additional fun segment on Friday. Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai take 2, after a long gap of 7 years is back with Maya’s elite class habits, Monisha’s middle class down market habits, Rosesh’s meaningless poetry, Indravandan’s satirical references and of course Sahil’s helplessness.

The production of the television series was shut down due to low ratings is now back with its same charm and humour and a new twist. The first episode is a reintroduction to their new lives, begins with the characters stuck in a bus later revealed as a flashback. Here is a list of things which are not the same as it used to be.

#1: The Sarabhai Apartment

Sarabhai family lived in a posh Mumbai locality where Monisha’s in-laws lived opposite to her and there was a constant conflict between them due to her middle cast background. The family now lives in palatial penthouses because their old apartments are under construction. The two families still are next door neighbours with the same touch of “saas-bahu khitpit”.

#2: the Jingle

You are a pakka Sarabhai fan if you too missed the title song while watching the first episode of the second season. Indeed the new season has retained its charm and madness but “ek pal mei banti hai pal mei bigadti hai” was badly being missed. Take 2 doesn’t have a musical touch but the show still has its elementary sound effects to highlight the funny moments.

#3: New Life, New Characters

A bunch of new characters are being introduced which will take the madness to a whole new level. After a gap of 7 years, the audience was introduced by Monisha and Sahil’s son Arnob also known as Guddu- a typical middle-class Punjabi nickname, Maya and Indravadan’s daughter Sonia, and Jasmine Mavani Roshesh’s potential future wife, who has a terrible command over English, another reason for Maya to make a fuss about.
