Rashtriya Swayansevak Sangh (RSS) will be seen sporting new uniforms from now on as they bid farewell to the traditional khaki shorts. RSS launched their sale of new uniforms: brown trousers at its headquarters in Nagpur.
They plan to follow the new dress code at its annual Vijayadashami program.This is the fifth change to the RSS uniform and they switched to trousers in an effort to attract the youth.
The decision was taken at the RSS’s Akhil Bhartiya Pratinidhi Sabha which was held at Nagaur, Rajasthan.
It is declared mandatory for every member of RSS including the Chief to buy the new uniform.
The Hindu nationalist group was earlier adopted the Khaki shorts, leather belts, long black shoes, khaki cap and a stick. The new uniforms comprises of a white shirt, canvas belt, black shoes, black cap and brown trousers costing Rs.250. RSS is trying to keep with the times and preparing a major change in its uniform history.
