It’s Never Too Late For Anything – The 45 Year Old On A New Ride!

Senior journalist Barkha Dutt quits NDTV as she recently announced the news over twitter.

Dutt was a consulting editor in NDTV and was working for the past 21 years with the channel. The “Padma Shri” awardee, Barkha Dutt is an Indian television journalist and columnist and was also the host of the weekly, award-winning talk-show “We The People “ as w ell as the daily prime-time show “The Buck Stops Here”. The channel praised her for her association with them for such a long period and wished her luck for her future. “We are certain that Barkha will go from strength to strength and NDTV wishes her all the very best,” said NDTV. According to sources, she is likely to start her own venture. She tweeted that she is hugely excited to start New Year, on a new slate, diversify her interests & build her own independent projects.”

NDTV statement:

In 1995, Barkha Dutt joined NDTV straight out of college, and now, after 21 wonderful years together, Barkha has requested that she would like to explore some new opportunities, pursue other interests and work on her own ventures.

In all her years with NDTV, she has been hugely productive and has grown with the organisation, becoming an acclaimed, award-winning journalist of repute across India and many parts of the world.

In her latest Facebook post, Barkha wrote that she is proud of her association with NDTV and is excited about her new venture

As soon as the journalist tweeted, she was trolled over the twitter and targeted by some people. People even called her to be a “ Pakistani journalist”. The scenario reminded of the time when Arnab Goswami, Editor in chief of Times Now resigned to start his separate venture in the past. The same way he was trolled over the twitter. None the less, the no reason trolling over the social networking sites are way too normal these days, only you have to ignore them. She also reminded us that there is no age bar to try new things and take risks in life. An innovative life is much more productive than a static one.

We wish the lady all the very best for her upcoming and future projects and hope to see her doing well.
