BIZZENTURE 2021: Breaking Monotonous Life Of A Student
In the monotonous life of a student, ‘Academic Fests’ bring about curiosity and help raise the excitement level of students. Academic fests not only act as a catalyst of change from the mundane schedule but also provide an opportunity to present innovative ideas and broaden one’s horizons. With this vision in mind, the esteemed college of Bandra, R.D. National College, witnessed an intra-collegiate fest organized by the Department of BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies).
Last year, ‘BIZZENTURE 2020’ was sponsored by Yangpoo and Vestige Marketing Pvt. Ltd. It was organized by the first, second and third-year students committees of BMS. The grand endeavour was turned into reality under the guidance and support of our Principal Dr Neha Jagtiani, Vice Principal Mrs Lakshmi Iyer, Coordinator of BMS Department Ms Nikisha Kukreja, Ms Darshana Kamble, Ms Suman Dhanani, Chairperson Kshitij Bhatia, Vice-Chairperson Abdul Baasit Fridaus Merchant, and other diligent Core committee Members.
It was a starry event as the fest marked the Presence of Pooja Manoj, Kavita Shetty, Sheetal Talreja, Kusha Bhatia, and Siddhi Dholakia, very successful dignitaries in the world of corporate, to judge the competitions. Principal Dr Neha Jagtiani motivated the students urged them to focus on the “skill sets” that they should attain to make them more employable and a better entrepreneur alongside academics.
BMS students battled it out for titles in various events including Business Plans, which recorded a total of 13 participants, followed by Ad campaigns that included 6 participants, and last but not the least, Social Cause Ad campaigns, where over 13 participants presented their videos.
The trophy for the Business plan was taken home by the most unique and creative idea of a moving food truck presented by the first-year students of BMS. The Ad campaign event was again won by the first years who displayed a spectacular video that promoted the existing Maybelline Brand lipstick, followed by the Social Ad campaign that was won by the second-year students who focused on breaking the taboo over sanitary pads. It would be fair to say that Bizzenture 2020 was a great success.
The pandemic did not dampen our spirit. We are back this year with Bizzenture 2021 which will be held Virtually on the 9th and 10th of March. This year too, the focus is on Thinking out of the Box and giving impetus to newer and newer ideas. The fest aims at helping the student get real-world exposure through experiential learning. We have invited experts from different walks of life to judge the various Business Plans, Ad Campaign & Social Cause Ad Campaigns. Following last year’s format, the top three groups will be picked from each of the categories and will be bestowed with Excellence Certificate and Trophies.
Students even stand an opportunity to get internships based on their display of business plans, ads and social cause ads. Look forward to an even more successful fest this year!
