New era has come for Gujarat Police. Ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit-2015, the Gujarat Police has purchased 225 Bolero white jeep cars. Many of these vehicles will be used for the Vibrant Gujarat summit, after which they will be sent to districts. About 225 large vehicles will be used to transport the police force. Gujarat police has also purchased 350 bikes, 23 of which are to be distributed to Gandhinagar police. Police now also posses some Harley Davidson superbikes – each pricing Rs. 7-15 lakh in its possession. They will be used for escorting and piloting of VIP convoys.
