Just a couple of hours before the heart attack Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had expressed her happiness on the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. She passed away on Tuesday night after a fatal heart attack at AIIMS, New Delhi. The doctor tried but could not revive her back to life, which saddened the whole nation of loss of a great leader and above all, a beautiful human being.
A Walk Through her Long Career
From being the youngest ever cabinet Minister of the state government to the External Affairs minister, she covered a remarkable journey wherever she took the lead. She became Cabinet Minister of Haryana government at the age of 25 years. A lawyer by profession Mrs Swaraj was always part of the significant legal team. She was one among the team in solving cases like Arrest of George Fernandes during Emergency.
Albeit being a young minister at that time Sushma Ji still had the voice of a confident and experienced leader which makes her one of the best orators in Indian politics. Her this positive behaviour made Atal Ji to choose her to fight against UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi in 1999 in Bellary. She lost the election but provided a foothold to BJP in the area of UPA government, which was quite remarkable for an unexperienced Individual.
Her journey led her to more considerable challenges. She served as I&B and Health Minister in Vajpayee Government. She also got the chance to serve the national capital New Delhi as Chief Minister in 1998 but lost later too Late Sheila Dixit Ji. As an essential and responsible guard of BJP, she served as External Affairs Minister in Modi government and created a history by becoming the most responsive External Affairs Minister.
HER HEALTH ISSUES
Due to her health issues only she did not join NDA 2.0 union government and didn’t even contest the election in 2019. She had her kidney transplant a few years back and was facing chronic health issue for a long time. Her incredible life journey paused when a late night on Tuesday she admitted to AIIMS hospital in New Delhi.

She will be laid to rest at Lodhi Crematorium, New Delhi with State Honor. Delhi government has announced a Two Day state mourning.
Indeed she was a stalwart, an idol for millions of aspiring women, a great leader and a great human being. Her demise is a significant loss to the nation and closure of the glorious chapter of the life journey of a great leader like SUSHMA SWARAJ JI.
