Cricketer Yuvraj Singh on, Saturday, launched his clothing brand YWC Fashion(YouWeCan)in collaboration with renowned designers Shantanu and Nikhil.This clothing line is an initiative of Yuvraj’s foundation that was established in 2012 .The left-handed batsmen being a popular cricketer and a cancer survivor himself will be a perfect face for the brand.Yuvraj walked the ramp himself and was supported by other cricketers like Chris Gayle,Ishant Sharma,Virendra Sehwag and Dwayne Bravo.Cricketer Brett Lee was seen congratulating him on Twitter.
Yuvraj’s sense of fashion is loved by many and so is his brand’s collection.The collection is sporty and comfortable.The brand includes a casual and a premium range called the Gold Collection.The techniques used to create the garment are environment-friendly as well.A person who buys apparel from YWC will thus indirectly be contributing to the NGO.
Yuvraj added that it was difficult to support the cancer patients with the existing funds that the NGO-generated and hence,the clothing line.The event was a star-studded one with celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan,Deepika Padukone,Farhan Akhtar,Neha Dhupia.Deepika even went on to laud the cricketer for using his popularity for such a noble cause.The event concluded with Yuvraj thanking the audience for taking out time for the initiative.
