Unleashing talent, passion and excitement at Infusion’19
Infusion’19 set the stage ablaze this year, the massive scale-up of the event from last year is a testimony to the increased autonomy the sprawling new campus has brought to the IIM Rohtak fraternity. At the outset let’s dwell upon the question what made Infusion’19 unique? The answer is multifaceted. The fest embodied the culture and the values that the IIM Rohtak fraternity stands for. We believe very strongly in diversity, we believe in perspectives and in its power to transform thought processes. Precisely for this reason, we designed Infusion’19 in a manner that everyone, no matter what background, state, gender, age group they represent they found something that tickled their imagination.
The 72-hour extravaganza was divided into four major verticals Social, Cultural, Sports, and Management. Every vertical was lined up with numerous events to keep everyone engaged throughout the fest. The major event of the carnival was a live concert by the star actor and singer Harrdy Sandhu, who left the audience spellbound. The comedy night by renowned stand-up comedians Pratyush Chaubey and Kishor Dayani tickled the funny bone of the audience. For the beauty-loving pageants, Femina Miss India campus round judged by the one and only, FBB Femina Miss India world 2018, Ms Anukreety Vas was a dream come true.
The best minds of the nation converged in IIM Rohtak to battle it out in the multiple business case study competitions, organized in an umbrella of events, Conspectus. The events ensured that the intellectual curiosity of the MBA graduates is satiated with some great ideas coming to the forefront in the three days. Another event meant to interest the thoughtful individuals was MUN. After the huge success of Yuva Parliament in Infusion 2018, the think tanks of IIM Rohtak organized MUN (Model United Nations). Topics such as the crisis of immigration and cybersecurity were discussed upon by the delegate participants.
One of the most successful and flagship events of IIM Rohtak the Mini-marathon was flagged off on the 13th of January 2019, the last day of Infusion’19. This was the 8th edition of Mini-marathon, which has been responsible for driving major social awareness campaigns in the past. After supporting the cause of Girl Child for 6 years, and Peace last year, this year, the grit of participants were tested with the cause, Heath and Nutrition. Individuals in large numbers ran to spread awareness on the importance of health and nutrition. Amit Panghal, Asian Games 2018 Gold Medallist in boxing, and Hardeep Singh, Commonwealth Gold Medallist in wrestling encouraged sportsperson at the event.
To ensure that the foodies have a great time too we came up with a food festival, wherein delicacies from around the were available. The festival enjoyed the presence of reputed brands like Chai house and Wow! Momo among others. Multiple food trucks from Delhi were present at the festival. Not even a single minute in this 72-hours was dull
Affirming its commitment to giving back to the society, IIM Rohtak also organized a massive social drive that impacted thousands of individuals. The drive included awareness and distribution drive of sanitary napkins; awareness drives on issues like alcohol abuse, sanitation, etc.
To sum it up, Infusion’19 was truly the biggest business school fest of the north. It is quite evident that we strived to ensure that Infusion’19 becomes a holistic festival that would guarantee extraordinary entertainment and learning while staying true to its values of sustainable development and giving back to society. We thrive on diversity and inclusion and Infusion’19, and its spirit is a testimony to this fact.
