Wild Card is an upcoming 2015 American crime drama film based on the 1985 novel Heat by William Goldman. It is a remake of the 1986 adaptation, also titled Heat, that starred Burt Reynolds. A recovering gambler whose addiction has led him to the streets of Las Vegas, Nick Wild (Jason Statham) takes odd jobs providing security to support his addiction.
The film is directed by Simon West with a script written by Goldman. It stars Jason Statham, Stanley Tucci, Sofía Vergara, Milo Ventimiglia, Michael Angarano and Anne Heche. The film will be released on January 30, 2015.
