With Ganesh Chathurthi comes a lot of festival spirit, fun, frolic and laughter. Some of the common things that Mumbai-kars do during this festival are:
– Roaming around every night to see different types of Ganpati in big pandals.
– Visiting friends and relatives houses to seek blessing and to have yummy food.
– Listening to loud synchronised groups of people who playing the Nashik and Puneridhol.

1. Ajay-Atul’s Deva Shree Ganesha (Agneepath: 2012): This song is the closest thing you can witness the power or presence of Lord Ganesh. The Marathi duo Ajay-Atul gave us something so special which I think is very close to many and personally, tops the list for me. This song was sung by Singer Ajay Gogawale, music by Ajay-Atul, lyrics by all-time talented Amitabh Bhattacharya.
2. Ganapati Aarti By Amitabh Bachchan (Sarkar: 3): We all already are such big fans of Amitabh Bachchan and his power packed voice! This Aarti sung by him gives a lot of positive vibration and Goosebumps to the listener. The Aarti, sung by Mr.Bachchan himself and music is given by Rohan Vinayak.
3. Mourya Re (Don: 2006): Another master piece by Singer Shankar Mahadevan and his team Loy Mendonca, Ehsaan Noorani who directed the music. The song is written by none other than Javed Akhtar himself and of course SRK in the song who gives us the typical Mumbai vibes on how Ganapati is celebrated by these groups of performers during the festival.
4. Gajanana (Bajirao Mastani: 2015): Whether it is patriotic song or a power packed religious song, Sukhwinder Singh’s magic always remains the same. This song is from the movie Bajirao Mastani which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is cautions and pays attention to minute details in his movies and has larger than life appeal on big screen. The song is written by Lyricist Prashant Ingole and the music is given by ShreyasPuranik.
5. Morya Morya Song (Daagdi Chaawl: 2015): Okay! So, some of you might not know this song, it is from the Marathi crime thriller Daagdi Chawl which was inspired by the life of Arun Gawli. The movie was a box office hit and the song, continues to be a huge hit till date. Sung by Adarsh Shinde,the song is written by lyricist Mandar Cholkar and Amitraj was the music director for it.
6. Sadda Dil Vi Tu GaGaGa Ganapati (ABCD: Any Body Can Dance: 2013): A very groovy song on Ganapati Bappa from India’s first 3D dance film which was directed by Remo D’Souza, this song is sung by Hard Kaur, composed by Sachin Jigar and written by Mayur Puri.
7. Deva Ho Deva Ganapati Deva (Hum Se Badhkar Kaun: 1981): This is one of those Iconic songs which paved way for Ganapati Songs in Bollywood. The line-up of singers in this song is so legendary that they need no introduction Asha Bhosale, Bhupinder Singh, Mohammed Rafi, Sapna Chakravarty and Shailendra Singh. Song is written by Ram Laxman.

8. Shendur Lal Chadayo( Vaastav: The Reality: 1999): Every classic movie always has a classic song (aarti)! This aarti from this movie needs no introduction if you have a Bappa at your house? Or in a pandal this aarti is on loop! This Aarti is sung by Ravindra Sathe, music director Jatin-Lalit and is written by Sameer.

9. Shankar ji Ka Damroo Baaje (Bal Ganesh: 2007): Till date I remember the lyrics of this song because it became so popular at that time it was a big hit with children, the song is sung by Kailash Kher with music directors Shamir Tandon and Sanjay Dhakan.

10. Jalwa (Wanted: 2009): It would be unfair if we missed out this song from the list! A Ganapati song with stars like Salman Khan, Prabhu Deva, Govinda and Anil Kapoor. The song was sung by Wajid Khan and Earl, lyricist Jalees Sherwani, Music director Sajid-Wajid.
