It’s common now to give online or offline reviews about the service we receive, but a recent review about a police station caught the eyes of netizens and is going viral now.
A man – named Logeshwaran S – posted a review on the Google map about Thirumullaivoyal T10 Police Station in Chennai, in which he detailed the experience of his ‘stay’ in the police station. Composed like a typical hotel/resort review, the writer of the post, who claims to be a ‘local guide’, said that he was arrested around midnight for riding a two-wheeler without proper documents.
His review went about; “The station is clean and is located on the main road. Staff members are very kind, and I did not face any harassment from them.”
He further added that he was released without demanding any bribe and concluded stating ” A must-visit place in your life” along with 4-star rating.
The image went viral in social media and prompted others to go on google media and rate police station; within 24 hours, there were plenty of reviews about the station.
Ok. I understand that #ratings and reviews are a great thing for restaurants, places of interest, experiences.
But @Google , posting reviews about a police station jail lockup is taking the idea of reviews a bit too far!
What do you all think?

A similar trend was reported in Sri Lanka a day before this incident about a police station Colombo which break the internet.
A man named Wijesekara Pathurjan posted a review with a 5-star rating about the Kollupitiya Police Station, which took its toll on the internet.

“Got arrested for not carrying my identity card, treated me very well. Cells are spacious and clean. Food was ok but rice for 3 times is a bit boring. Handcuff was bit corroded, but it’s ok it does the job right. The officers are friendly. Overall it was a nice experience,” the review said–went his review.
Anyhow, both these cases have caught the eyes of netizens and went viral over social media prompting others to follow the trend.
