“Hello” From Space

From time immemorial man has always been curious about his own existence on this very distinct planet which supports life. since forever man has been eagerly trying to find someone like him. it all started back in 1974, first attempt to contact alien life. Arecibo Radio Telescope in Puerto Rico, used in 1974 to broadcast the 1st intentional radio signal into space. powerful broadcast ever deliberately beamed into space with the intention of contacting alien life. since then various attempts are being made, sending signals into unfathomable space.

Everyone certainly had an increased heartbeat once again when they found FRBs (Fast Radio Bursts) recently. FRB’s are radio emissions that appear temporarily and randomly, making them not only hard to find but also hard to study. The latest signals to be detected reached Earth from a galaxy 1.5 billion light-years away.

(Note: FRB’s, were first detected accidentally in 2007 when a burst signal was spotted in radio astronomy data collected in 2001.)

The most likely explanation is that they were created by powerful objects in space. Experts have debated that it could have been due to black holes or super-dense neutron stars. Though this may seem even more arguable as it can’t be neglected that we hope to have a rare possibility of life somewhere other than on Earth.

According to professor David Loeb, from the Harvard-Smithsonian Centre for Astrophysics in the US, there could be evidence of incredibly advanced alien technology. though the source of emanation of these FRBs are yet unknown but are definitely billions of light years away from milky way.

Most of the 13 FRBS showed signs of scattering’ that suggest their sources could be powerful astrophysical objects in locations with special characteristics according to scientists.

These all intriguing facts and beliefs make you even more curious and thrilled. It is hard to reach a conclusion here. It depends on the people. Either they wish to believe or they don’t. Still, let’s be curious and try to answer, are we alone in this universe!?
