After fighting a battle for two years since Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor in 2018, the versatile actor passed away at the age of 53 on Wednesday, April 29. The actor died because of colon infection, he took his last breath in Mumbai based KokilaBen Hospital. The actor is survived by wife Sutapa Sikdar and two sons Babil and Ayan. As the film industry jolts down with demise news of the actor, the whole nation and celebrities mourned into grief and sadness.
Several names from the political and film industry shared their thoughts on the demise of Bollywood star Irrfan Khan. Bollywood filmmaker Shoojit Sircar was among the first to tweet about the actor’s death on Twitter, “My dear friend Irfaan. You fought and fought and fought. I will always be proud of you.. we shall meet again.. condolences to Sutapa and Babil.. you too fought, Sutapa you gave everything possible in this fight. Peace and Om Shanti. Irfaan Khan salute.”

Big B Amitabh Bachchan tweeted that his loss would create a huge vacuum: “Just getting news of the passing of Irfaan Khan .. this is the most disturbing and sad news. An incredible talent .. a gracious colleague .. a prolific contributor to the World of Cinema .. left us too soon .. creating a huge vacuum .. Prayers and duas.”
Irrfan khan, a brilliant actor who left so early, was a true gem in his own world of acting, he had the ability to speak the dialogue with his gazing eyes. His urge and willingness to learn more took him to the path of Bollywood than to Hollywood.
Over a period of 30 years and more, he showcased us the versatile Actor Irrfan Khan from Asif Kapadia’s, The Warrior to Shoojit Sircar’s Piku; he raised the bar in every performance. His last movie was Homi Adajania’s English Medium. Irrfan khan demise created a void that is difficult to fill and creates separate performance ground, which is tough to forget and harder to match.
