The N99 masks will filter out slightly more (4% to be precise) polluted particles. However, N99 mask resists the breathing, if used for a longer duration. It causes uneasiness, and when compared to N99, N95 offers 50% lesser breathing resistance. Thus making N95 mask more comfortable and less suffocating.
